A Mano Primitivo Puglia 2007

Today's wine is another wine for grilling, A Mano Primitivo 2007. Once thought to be its own grape, Primitivo has been proven through DNA fingerprinting to be the same as Zinfandel. The A Mano 2007 is a fine example of value in this category. At $9.95 this is a lot of wine for the dollar. Pouring a deep purple with a bit of red on the edges, it has blueberry jam and a hint of earth on the nose. On the palate this is a fruit forward wine showing berries, licorice and a hint of warm spice. The finish is soft with smooth tannin and a pleasant lingering hint of blueberry pie. Pick this wine up and you will not be disappointed!!
