This Syrah is definitely an "old world" version. Pouring a rich purple, this has mulberry, earth, vanilla and sage on the nose. On the palate this is a medium bodied wine that shows muted red currant, violet, a hint of spice and a pleasant earthiness on the finish. This is a great wine that showcases the more traditional style of wines that come from South Africa.
