Felino Malbec 2008

Today's wine is Felino Malbec 2008, made by Paul Hobbs. Malbec is a grape that has become so incredibly popular these days that it seems there is a new one every week. The Felino Malbec is one that we've carried at the store through a few vintages and usually run out of before a new vintage is released. The 2008 is definitely still young but drinks really nice right now. Pouring a deep purple, it has dark berries, black cherry and spice on the nose. On the palate there is a huge amount of flavor, black raspberries, plum, white pepper and some minerality leading to ample tannin and great length on the finish. This wine is good young, but will be even better after a few years. Pick up a few and compare!
