Shafer One Point Five Cabernet 2005

So today is my birthday and with that comes great wine! Today I want to share with you a fantastic Stag's Leap Cabernet. Produced by Shafer winery, the One Point Five Cabernet 2005 is a fantastic wine, while it isn't Hillside, it still will blow you away. After decanting, the wine pours a deep, almost black purple with anise, black currant and raspberry on the nose. On the palate it has blueberry, spice, raspberry and a hint of floral undertones. The wine finishes extremely long with nice tannin and a final berry liqueur note. This is a wine that evolves over the course of an evening and gets better with every sip. Pick up a bottle of this or anything else made by Shafer and you wont be disappointed. I hope to bring you a few more high end wines this weekend while the celebration continues!
