Today's offering is from one of my favorite importers out of Spain, Jorge Ordonez. The Volver Tempranillo 2007 is a great example of the values coming out of Spain. Made from 100% Tempranillo and rated 90 pts by the Wine Advocate, this is just an amazing wine. Pouring a deep purple with smoke, blackberry, cherry and ceder on the nose. On the palate this provides a depth that is impressive, showing spice, full red fruit and dark berries. The length of the finish is impressive for a wine at this price and stands up to any of the great wines from Spain. Pick some up today to enjoy with steak, aged mancheo, Serrano Ham or let it breath for an hour and drink it alone!
